burned in her bed because she fell asleep with a cigarette. It is still not sure if this was an accident or a suicide.

Sarah Kane, 1971-1999, British dramatist,
hanged herself in the bathroom. She was just 27 years old when she became instantly famous with her play writings, which provoked scandals all over the world because of their explicit descriptions of violence and destruction.

"Diane"
Diane Arbus, 1923-1971, American photographer,
killed herself by slashing her wrists in the bathtub in her studio. Legend says that she photographed her suicide.

"Clara"
Clara Immerwahr, 1870 - 1915, German chemical scientist
and pacifist. Her husband Fritz Haber developed the poison gas, which was used in the first World War. Clara Immerwahr shot herself with the official gun of her husband as a protest and out of powerlessness, in garden of their house.

"Unica"
Unica Zürn, 1916 -1970, German writer,
after she was discharged from a psychiatric clinic she leaped herself out of the window in the flat of her partner and lover, Hans Bellmer.

"Adelheid"
Adelheid Duvanell, 1936-1996, Swiss writer
went in the forest, took poison and froze to death in a cold, strange summer night.

"Karin"
Karin Boye, 1900-1941swedish poet and writer,
wrote poems and two novels. She fell in love with a German, Jewish female writer and together they experienced the nazi regime. She killed herself with poison on a hill having a view onto the Swedish valley of Alingsås.

"Pierre"
Pierre Molinier, 1900-1974, artist, photographer
shot himself in front of the mirror, thus ending the fight with his masculine identity. His photo work shows himself in the masquerade of felinity.
