There are several important questions which apply to EACH piece, which I will list below:
- What technical equipment is necessary (dvd players, projectors, speakers, etc.?
- What is the format of the material? dvd, vhs, pal, ntsc?
- If projected, what is the projection size? Is it a single or double projection?
- Or, what is the monitor specification?
- What is the length of the film? Is there a spare copy of the dvd? (The exhibition copy should have a loop function programmed)
- Is there an installation drawing? Or image?
- Are there light specifications?
- Is there any furniture or seating necessary?
- Does the piece require its own space? Or does it share space with other pieces?
- What is the sound scenario? Headphones, synchronization, volume, etc.?
- Are the headphones connected to the monitor, or to the dvd player? How many headphones?
- Are there important Electrical installation details?'''
- Norman / Dillemuth / Shnitzelshanke: a COMPUTER and a digital projector... if it works to convert the swf files we might need a dvd playe instead of the computer.
- Gardar and Mathias:
common [1 slide projector // 2 vcr + TV]
gardar [black paint and six canvases]
matias [1 vcr +TV]
- Patterson for building the Sharf Shack:
I think we would like to construct a "Scharf Schack" which is 3-sided and made of aluminuim wall studs, 1/8 In. Luan or other inexpensive/recycled sheathing of approx 500 sq. feet, and paint. I would like to make some A1 xerox copies of our book and my press materials, perhaps 800 copies or so. We have these great NTSC videos, which are meant to be played on 6 crappy b&w or any junky TV. I am forwarding this to Danny and he may have some more input. I know some of these thingys might be very hard, we will work with what we get.
