Trendy is what other people think.
I'm not trendy.
You're not trendy.
She's not trendy.
But for the marketing people,
Who have the entire world in their filing cabinet,
There is a folder marked "trendy."
And there we are.
Does life have to be interesting?
What happens when we DIY?
The beauty of pure expression
burns awhile (against something)
and then becomes other people's value.
City, state, taxpayer, business association, consumer.
Here's to some old thoughts!
The street is a place from there to HERE!
If we're alone, walking
If we decide to take a walk, together
we dream and argue about that dream.
It's cheap fun.
Isn't that so, Mr. Debord-Breton-Aragon-Walser-Benjamin?
Alternative is as dangerous a word as trendy.
Let's be brave and use them both.
HERE is an example of an attempt to construct living
as something that the state, land owners, business big and small
are also thinking about
they also want to make life interesting (in their way)
When I hear the word 'underground'
I pack up a little suitcase
I know I'll be beaten
That I'll have to move around
That I'll be watching a cartoon in a movie house
And dreaming of a better tomorrow
There is still a war-state mentality
If you're too isolated and marginal
you can be stepped on (wiped out).
I wish I could say more
Even I want to learn how to fish
To make anything practical
More work is needed.
